New Chapter Of “From Bullets To Broadway” Focuses On How Sharing Your Journey Gets A Show To Stage; Encore Broadcast May 23

Ready for the next chapter of From Bullets To Broadway, Anatomy of A Broadway Show featuring Emergency the Musical www.emergencythemusical.com? Tune in to Sgt. Dan McCaughan’s broadcast on Saturday, May 16, 2020 on WFYL 1180Am (www.1180wfyl.com) at noon. Despite the bad news that New York theater is dark until at least September as the result of Coronavirus, “Un-Block The Music” can tell you for certain that the theater community is working really hard to create and ramp up for a new season when it’s safe to come back!

Jeff and Jacob Foy are not only working hard on tightening up their show, but they are making plans to get their other musical, “One Night Only” https://www.onenightonlythemusical.com/in shape to open in 2021 as well! So, if you have an inkling to write and/or produce a show of your own, now is the time to work on your plans. Dan will take you through Jeff and Jacob’s journey so far with their experience offering you some insight into how to get your own project on the proverbial road.

This week’s installment of From Bullets To Broadway (www.BroadwayBullets.com)  will focus on relationships cultivated through The Inner Circle which is described by its creator, Ken Davenport, as  “an intimate mastermind-style training program for advanced theater professionals who are looking to get their shows produced.” Emergency was part of a contest sponsored by Inner Circle, and that is how the Foys won a $10,000 grant to get started https://www.theproducersperspective.com/the-inner-circle.

In addition to Jeff and Jacob, Dan will interview Sally Rosenberg, who through the Inner Circle, formed LadyBug Productions with her collaborator Jill Lesser. The interview will also touch on The Theater Makers Super Conference which is a gathering of the world’s top theatrical talent for a weekend of education, inspiration and connection. As of now, this conference is scheduled November 14 and 15 in New York City. https://tppsuperconference.com/. It is an amazing networking opportunity that Sally and The Foys have attended. You can write an outstanding show, but you have to get people interested, not only in seeing it, but investing in it.

So, tune in on Saturday, see what you can learn, then follow-up with “Un-Block The Music” on Monday, for some extra tidbits from Sally and The Foys. Also, keep in mind that your questions can be answered on the air, so listen closely and send them to Dan at info@1180wfyl.com or to me at dgalanteblock @gmail.com!
