Listen To “Un-Block The Music” Saturday July 11th At Noon On WYFL 1180AM’s New Episode of From “Bullets To Broadway” Featuring “Emergency the Musical”

We have a new episode today of From Bullets To Broadway, The Anatomy of A Show, Featuring Emergency The Musical. The show, hosted by Sgt. Dan McCaughan will air on WYFL 1180AM, Saturday, July 11th at noon. (www.1180wfyl.com)

If you haven’t heard the show, it features Dr. Jeff and Jacob Foy, the writers of this musical headed to off-Broadway (and me in the background 😊). Dr. Jeff is an Emergency Room doctor (he is working through this pandemic) and Jacob is his son, a college student. When they started working together in Jacob’s room in Indiana about 5 years ago, neither knew anything about writing a show. They took the leap, contacted Davenport Theatricals, the New York production company of Tony-winning producer Ken Davenport. Bullets To Broadway is following their journey. Today’s show features Eric Webb, the director of creative development for Davenport Theatrical Enterprises and a dramaturg. (www.BroadwayBullets.com.)

What’s a dramaturg? Ya gotta listen to the show. Eric played a big part in development of the character Kyle, the antagonist in Emergency. You will also hear the song Family Affair, his establishment song. What the heck does this all mean? Check us out today, and then come back to this blog on Monday, for extended interviews!

If you want a little more background on the radio show, Emergency and/or Ken Davenport, just put “Emergency” in the search bar. In the meantime, here is the last story I wrote before the  4th of July break.
