“Un-Block the Music” At The Audio Engineering Show This Week

While “Un-Block The Music’s” goal is to get everyone to listen to all kinds of music at least once, you may or may not know or remember that my roots are in Pro-Audio. Having worked for publications such as Billboard and ProSound News, I traveled around to studios (when there were big ones!!!) and I spoke to all of the top producers. I loved it. As industry has changed, my writing and reporting, has shifted as well. Project studios have over taken, in most cases, the larger studios. However, the Audio Engineering Show brings me home. Many of the people I interviewed when writing for Billboard have been on my blog, either related to studio work or work on Broadway.

I will be attending AES this week at the Javits Center in New York City. I am going to learn as much as I can and talk to as many people as I can about Studio Recording, Home Recording, Music Production, Electronic Dance Music, DJ, Live Sound, Theater Sound, Broadcast and Streaming, Networked Audio, Audio for Virtual and Augmented Reality, Game Audio, Sound for Picture or Product Development. http://www.aes.org/events/147/calendar/calendar.cfm

Un-Block The Music is so very excited to visit the John Lennon Tour Bus which will be on-site. Check out the story I wrote in 2007 when The Black Eyed Peas, The Bacont Brothers and John Legend did work on it.

“Un-Block The Music” hopes to catch up with many old friends this week. Track me down if you are one of them!!!!
