A new episode of “From Bullets To Broadway, Anatomy of A Broadway Show, Featuring Emergency The Musical” will air on Saturday, January 16 at 12 noon on WFYL 1180AM. This episode promises to make clear why the legendary warning for actors has been “never act with kids or pets”. This week’s special guest is Jaiden Klein, the now 13-year-old young actor who portrayed Elle when Emergency debuted in New York. As “Un-Block The Music” recalls from seeing the show, Jaiden was surely a scene stealer.
Nurse Kathryn is the sister and guardian of young Elle in the show. The song, “Love With An Elle,” is sung by the two characters. It is played on a ukulele, and it will be interesting to hear about the writing of this song. Show host, Sgt. Dan McCaughan always points to the fact that every song in Emergency has its own vibe, and that’s one of the things that makes it fascinating for listening.
According to writers Dr. Jeff and Jacob Foy, once they met Jaiden, they did not have to see anyone else for the role of Elle. She was perfect! Being novices to the theater scene and newcomers to New York, the Foys didn’t know what to expect in terms of young talent, but when they heard Jaiden sing, they knew they had to rewrite the song “Love With An Elle” to include more singing parts for her.
Before Emergency, Jaiden did the tour of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and after Emergency she went on tour as Young Elsa in Disney’s Frozen! Need I say more about her talent?
Can’t wait to hear what the Foys and Jaiden feel about how “Love With An Elle” fits into the Emergency Room so well.
