This summer will be hot for Unblockthemusic.blog. Look for stories about the Brummies, J.C Santalis, Bond Villain, Kimberley Locke and I am very excited to say,,,I just spoke with Tony Award Winning Producer Ken Davenport! Ken, who won the Tony for Kinky Boots, is nominated once again for “Once On This Island”! Tonys are this weekend!
I also plan to beef up coverage of musical instruments and musicianship. By that, I mean, look for insight and stories about guitars, keyboards, violins, etc…I will update info about Lee Ritenour’s Six String Theory Competition, and I also just spoke to Yamaha yesterday about the state of things to come. Pro-Audio and recording continue to be loves of mine, so I have a few other stories up my sleeve that are too soon to talk about but stay tuned.
I am also very excited to talk about new sensations like Elizsabeth. If you love all things British, as I do, you will love Elizsabeth! That goes for anyone, who loves Kate Bush since the 1980s and Florence & the Machine now.
Elizsabeth is a London-based alternative artist, Her first single “Clarity” reached number 28 in the singer/songwriter iTunes U.K. chart, reached the top 10 in Reverbnation’s London & Greater London Charts. Her second single ‘My Comfort Zone’ reached number 2 in the singer/songwriter ITunes U.K. chart and remained in the top 20 for several days.
I’ve chatted briefly with Elizsabeth as she has just released her EP: “My Comfort Zone”.
